The last stanza is delight made imagery, Kim. Love how the “she” is such a warrior, ripping the uglies, kissing the pains better, protecting the heart. Just lovely.

Other people have rad this poem in so many different ways – some see the woman as loving and kind, while others see her as manipulative and possibly a little creepy. It’s open to interpretation!
